La reuni\u00f3n fue organizada por Asbama (Asociaci\u00f3n de Bananeros del Magdalena y La Guajira ) y el CIAT (Centro Internacional de Agricultura Tropical). Fernando fue invitado a una disertaci\u00f3n sobre enfermedad de Panam\u00e1 con \u00e9nfasis en la Raza tropical 4.
